workplace wellbeing

Sound therapy & mindfulness can help transform the workplace - not only for the numerous health benefits like decreased sick days and stress levels but also as a strategy to help foster interconnectedness, creativity, and innovation.

In order to remain competitive in today’s rapidly changing landscape, successful companies need to possess a clear vision of their goals, as well as, stay inspired to be innovative in their approach to supplying products and services. This puts unparalleled requirements for focused attention, extraordinary creativity, adaptability, stress management, compassion, and patience from CEO's, top-level executives, business owners, and employees alike, at disproportionately high levels. The Harvard Business School along with INSEAD—Europe’s leading business school—have concluded from their research that the two most effective business tools for twenty-first-century executives are meditation and intuition.

stress management

The benefits of meditation and mindfulness in the workplace are now well documented. (See reference links below) Using sound as a method of meditation is an accessible and effective way to entrain the participant’s brainwaves into the low alpha and theta brainwave states. Think of it as a shortcut to a deeper meditation as the rhythm and frequency help trigger the body’s relaxation response and bring them into a deeply relaxed state.

Shift can integrate a session into your planned event or day retreat or can provide a stand-alone sound bath meditation workshop at your office or another inspiring space. In addition to the instruments, all mats, blankets, cushions etc. will be provided.

creativity & innovation

Studies have shown that meditation is a powerful tool for tapping into our inner creativity. It enhances three essential skills necessary for creative problem solving:

1. Switches on divergent thinking. In other words, meditation opens your mind to new ideas.
2. Improves attention and makes it easier to register the novelty and usefulness of ideas.
3. Nurtures courage and resilience in the face of skepticism and setbacks, which is important because failure and setbacks are inextricably linked with any innovation process.

Shift can provide a general session which not only aims to improve team building by bringing everyone together on the same level, but can create a space for mindful brainstorming and help bring ‘fresh eyes’ to a project.
